Classical Ballet. Experience the joy of beginner ballet with fun and creative classes, focusing on proper technique, alignment cues, beautiful music, and expressive movement. In our Movement Zone classical ballet lessons, we will teach you the fundamentals of ballet, including technique and terminology that follow the Royal Academy Of Dancing (RAD) standards. Our main goal is to improve your flow and precision of movement while incorporating storytelling to create conversations through movement. Our classes are designed to be fun and engaging, with a variety of activities and experiments that will help you improve your skills. Let us tell you a bit about our classical teacher, Dinali Dharmadasa. Dinali has been dancing and performing since she was 6 years old and is a passionate dance enthusiast. She loves to explore how emotions and conversations are conveyed through movement. Her dance style is centered around feeling comfortable in your own skin and being empowered from within. A bit about the teacher: Dinali Dharmadasa I have been dancing and performing since I was 6 years old and I am a dance enthusiast with a passion to explore how emotion and conversations are conveyed through movement. My style of dance is centered through being comfortable in your own skin and feeling empowered from within. In our classical ballet lessons we will cover the basics of ballet, technique and terminology while working on flow and precision of movement. We will focus on storytelling and making conversations via movement. Our classes will be full of fun activities and experiments. Saturdays: 9:30-10am - Petit Ballet (3-5yrs) - PINK 10am-10:45 - Level 1 Ballet (5-8) - BLUE 10:45-11:45am - Level 2 Ballet (8-13) - BLACK Uniform: At MZ, we require different ballet uniforms for each level to show progression in the ballet program and ensure a clear distinction between levels and degrees. All students can wear the uniform for their level or a gender-neutral option. If you have any questions, concerns, or uniform preferences, please discuss them with the MZ team. All uniforms can be purchased at Mino Dance in Kangaroo Flat. Please head to our policies and procedures for more information about uniform requirements. ANNUAL FEE: $60 pp or $80 + GST per family will be charged beginning of each year or upon enrolment. This will cover insurance, music licences, equipment, administration costs etc. *This is not refundable.

Cancellation Policy

NOTE: There are no refunds for missed classes. If a student is unable to attend a class due to illness, injury or compassionate grounds, a makeup class can be taken before the end of each term. CLASS cancellations are sometimes necessary. If class cancellation occurs and make up classes are not available, a refund will be offered for the pro-rata cost of the cancelled class. We will use our best endeavours to accommodate the needs of families but cannot guarantee the rescheduled classes will suit all.
