Service Description

Thursdays 7:30-8:30pm (term dates) **What is Commercial Dancing?** Commercial dancing is a highly choreographed dance form that combines elements of street dance, hip-hop, contemporary, and jazz. It features a mix of sharp and fluid movements, including techniques like popping and locking, along with animated expressions. This style of dance is often seen in music videos, TV shows, commercials, and concerts—think of the dancers in a Dua Lipa performance. It's a flashy style that captures attention and inspires movement. Notable examples of commercial choreography can be seen in Beyoncé's music videos or during high-energy performances on shows like "So You Think You Can Dance." **Class Information** Professional dancer Stephanie Harrison will teach this energetic class. The class will cover the basics of straightforward steps and ways to move within this dance style, emphasizing style, intention, and performance. Training in this class will help develop each participant's love of dance. It’s a fun and high-energy environment that is ideal for strengthening the body, building stamina, and maintaining overall health—all while having a great time. Thursdays 7:30-8:30pm $250 per term ANNUAL FEE: $60 pp or $80 + GST per family will be charged beginning of each year or upon enrolment. This will cover insurance, music licences, equipment, administration costs etc. *This is not refundable.
